Ann Way Machine Tools Company Ltd. brought five new product series to the exhibition this time. They are as follows: the ACK Series Adjustable Double Edged Boring Bars; ASC Series Heavy Duty Straight Milling Chucks; ASG Series High Speed Precision Heavy Duty Milling Chucks; ASK Series High Speed Precision Collets; and the ADS Series Pull Studs. All the above named series are especially made for use in producing small aperture molds, and possess characteristics of high speed, high precision and high rigidity.
As Ann Way Machine Tools president Mr. Huang Chi-chieh states, with China's economy growing and markets expanding, Taiwanese machine tool and accessory manufacturers are presently facing such a large market there, they frequently cant keep up with demand. He points out Ann Way has excellent development prospects as a machinery supplier to China's continuously growing auto, textiles, and foodstuffs industries.
However, another impact of China's rapid growth is that Taiwanese manufacturers are pressured by soaring prices for raw materials such as cast and scrap iron, coal, and chemicals. Regarding this situation, President Huang commented since that as this situation has not yet peaked, the company may not be able to do anything about the price of its products. He stated the company should first increase its popularity on the market to improve sales, realize a small profit and quicker turnover. Another way to achieve these results is by developing new products with increased added value, raise prices slightly of new products, and thereby raise profit margins. In this way the company should be able to digest some of the increased operating costs brought on by the increased price of raw materials.
Facing this prospect of China's vigorous market development, Mr. Huang explained Ann Way has taken the first steps towards expanding its sales network in China, and strengthening its service system to keep existing customers happy. Further, the company is doing well with investing in R&D within Taiwan. At the companys research center in Taiwan, the president introduced some of their newest equipment and technological developments including a 5 axis machining center and a CNC multi axis grinder.
He said that following the Chinese markets rising demands, customer demands for mold processing increasingly high, reflecting the high precision, high speed production technologies that will dominate the market in the future. To be a supplier a company must continuously strengthen and innovate technology to be able to gain a foothold in the market and obtain long term growth.
